Candid Fish

Mission

Candid Fish publishes the organic, the raw, and the honest. We look for work that examines the world around us while documenting the personal responses to those observations in vivid detail. Our approach is inspired by the genre of confessional poetry and the courage that lies in confessing.

We aim to capture the truest reflection of lived experience. While “living with your heart on your sleeve” may be a tired statement, its sentiment is applicable to our publishing goals. We want the work that is unabashedly alive, so we can preserve it for later.
